Employers register your profile and list upcoming jobs to recruit candidates from across the state. For business financial support this is a requirement for investments of $200k+. 

The Rapid Response team in NW MN is also available to assist for layoffs and business closures impacting staffing. 

Work Opportunity Tax Credit

The WOTC applies only to new employees who have never worked for the hiring employer at any other time. The tax credit allows employers to reduce their federal tax liability by up to $9,600 per new hire. For-profit businesses of any size qualify. 501(c) non-profits qualify for the veteran target groups only. And the tax credit applies to temporary, seasonal, part-time and full-time workers. 

Rural MN Concentrated Employment Program

Similar to CareerForce, they offer programs to support employers with upskilling their workforce through industry or business-specific skills, upgrading computer skills, leadership and management training, training on new equipment, and National Career Readiness Certificates (NCRC), and other workforce needs.
